India Extends Airspace Ban on Pakistani Aircrafts Until June 23

New Delhi, 24 May 2025: India has extended the ban on Pakistani aircraft from using its airspace until June 23. The decision is issued in a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), applies to all aircraft registered in Pakistan and operated, owned, or leased by Pakistani airlines—including military aircrafts.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India, confirmed that Indian airspace remains off for these flights. It continues the restriction that was imposed in late April 2025 after the Pehelgam Terror attack.

Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu addressed the media in New Delhi, stating that the NOTAM has been extended and that India is “maintaining the status quo.”

This diplomatic move comes during the ongoing geopolitical tensions and underscores India’s cautious approach to regional aviation protocols.

Currently, the airspace ban restriction remains active.
