ICAI Postponed CA Exams Again Amid India-Pakistan Tensions—Check New Dates

New Delhi, 11 May 2025: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has once again postponed the Chartered Accountants (CA) exams due to escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. The decision comes in light of heightened security concerns following recent ceasefire violations and military escalations.

Initially scheduled between May 9 and May 14, 2025, the CA Final, Intermediate, and Post Qualification Course (PQC) exams have now been rescheduled to May 16–24, 2025. ICAI confirmed that the exams will take place at the same centers and timings as previously planned, ensuring minimal disruption for candidates. Additionally, admit cards issued earlier will remain valid for the revised dates. Find Latest Education News

The postponement follows a series of security alerts and precautionary measures taken across various sectors, including educational institutions. ICAI emphasized that the decision was made to prioritize the safety of students and staff amid the uncertain geopolitical situation.

While the CA Foundation exams remain unaffected and will proceed as scheduled on May 15, 17, 19, and 21, students appearing for the postponed exams are advised to stay updated via ICAI’s official website.

This marks the second time in recent months that ICAI has had to reschedule exams due to external circumstances. The institute reassured candidates that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure a smooth examination process despite the delay.
