Aviation News: IndiGo announces direct flights from Madurai to Abu Dhabi from June 13
New Delhi, 22 May 2025: India’s aviation sector is touching new heights. IndiGo has announced new direct flights between Madurai in Tamil Nadu and Abu Dhabi, starting June 13, 2025. This move marks Madurai as the 16th Indian city to be directly connected to the capital of the United Arab Emirates by IndiGo.
Indigo Airlines will operate tri-weekly flights on this route. This announcement follows IndiGo’s recent additions of direct flights from Bhubaneswar and Visakhapatnam to Abu Dhabi.
IndiGo now operates over 280 weekly flights to five destinations in the UAE—including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Al Ain—from 20 Indian cities.
The new Madurai-Abu Dhabi service aligns with IndiGo‘s commitment to making global travel more seamless and affordable for Indian passengers, especially those from Tier 2 cities.
